Bad Owners.. The End

Hey Guys,

I have been mulling on this since last week. A case has come through the courts here where a man has killed his pit bull after attacking a small dog. This one is a double edged sword as the owners actions and behavior clearly speak for themselves and most likely reflected on his pit bull behaving in said manner. Its the comments in the article that most disturb me, the "kill all bully breeds" and "they are killers through DNA". This kind of ignorance is SO depressing and the stigma bestowed upon responsible owners and their pets is so unfortunate. There has been one pit bull advocate who has started a Facebook page called "Saving Bermuda's Misunderstood", if anyone here would like to join just to way in or share some expert advice, please feel free.

Yeah, every time something like that happens, you can guarantee ignorant people come in shouting the loudest. It's a shame that people can be so narrow-minded, but especially fellow dog owners. To say that a dog is a killer by DNA...well, you could say the same thing about a person, and then it's just a free pass saying everything bad we do is no-one's fault, we're all just born like it. Stupid. People need to place the blame in the right place.

It annoys me too but not for the same reasons probably. All dogs ARE born killers, but we train it out of them or train them to control it. Not the other way around. That is the point alot of people miss..

I'm sorry but I couldn't bring myself to read the article but I am glad you were able to post it so others can and hopefully think of the outcome of their actions.
