Knee operation

I have been on the waiting list to get my knee scraped out for over a year. The hospital just phoned me yesterday to tell me I am going in this Friday to have it done!! I am scared stiff after watching a segment on a current affair program about someone who had an operation.. but they weren't given enough anesthetic and they were awake through the whole thing but couldn't move to alert the staff. Why oh why did I watch the stupid program?? Tony reckons I will be fine... but I did tell him, make sure if I peg out or anything, that you look after Jethro and Winston in the manner to which they are accustomed!!

I have to go in at 6.30 am and they reckon I should be able to go home late afternoon if everything goes okay.....

I'm sure you will be fine, my hubby had this op 2 years ago and was out the same day.
On the order is plenty of rest afterwards no giving into those lovely doggy eyes who are wanting walkies.

Hi everyone.. I survived!!
Thanks for your kind thoughts. I am at home in bed now, watching Its Me Or The Dog dvd.... all the dogs on this dvd are nutters.. but none of them are staffys!!
Have to use crutches for the next week till I see the surgeon again...so Tony will be in charge of the dog walking department for now !!

Oooh yeh, nurses just love the "call bell"!!!! But then again Tony isn't a nurse so you should be able to con him big time,

the sight of me hobbling around on crutches is a sight for sore eyes I can tell you!!

how's it going, hopefully everyone is looking after you

it is driving me bonkers!! I cant do anything like make a cup of tea etc because I can't carry anything at all when I am using crutches. I feel useless. And the last few days have been lovely sunny days and I have had to watch Tony go off with the dogs enjoying themselves and I am cooped up ........aaaaahhh!! My heart goes out to people who are like this all the time. Thank goodness I have this site to go on.. keeps me sane!!
