Puppy skin conditions HELP needed plz

Post by tara21311 on Fri Mar 11, 2011 4:34 pm

Hi this is my first post...Just bought a staffy bitch last week she is 7 weeks old and have just noticed some bumps on her skin mostly on her back she has been scratching a bit but not too much. I was wondering if this could be fleas or something? i looked at her inside leg wheres theres very little hair and she has a few red spots. I might be imagining things but to me she looks like shes losing hair around her ears too.

Thanks

Could be any number of things and 7 weeks is very young. They don't tend to have much hair on there under bellys, I think considering the age I would probably contact the vets.

Welcome to the forum, she's a little stunner Love Struck

Welcome to the forum, Molly has lumps like this, and we're using germoline on it at the moment, which is clearing them up, but as Janey said, at that age a trip to the vets would probably be the best option, especially if she's scratching at them.

Awww what a cheeky looking puppy, i'd get a vet to look at her, at least then you'll know what it is and get her sorted out ...

Hi all thanks for the advice. Ive gave a good scrub up in the bath and washed all her bedding the problem seems to be getting a bit better its certainly not getting any worse but now shes off her food so im thinking the two could be linked. Im keeping a close eye on the problem and might consider changing her food tomorow as its been a few days shes been off the food only eating a small amount.
