hi I took my poor rocko to vets with a urine infection as I'm unemployed I had to take him to PDSA Id like to add ive worked since i was 16 and have always paid my way and didnt want to take him there but i had no other choice Sad so we get in she sends us outside to get a urine sample which wasnt easy when we get back in I lifted him up onto table her attitude toatally changed he wouldnt stand still i held his head whilst my friend held his body she was poking his sides which i could see was sore for him then turned round and says he snapped at her which wasn't true as i had his head then told me he wasnt disciplined and was aggressive and he was an accident waiting to happen was so bloody angry rocko is the most friendliest dog ever if he was one bit aggressive i would not allow him near my cousins who youngest is 3 and they stay with me the odd weekend.
his usal vet has no problem with him in the past he just isnt too sure with strangers poking and prodding him think he was frightened too he jumped up and put his paws around my shoulders as if to cuddle me.

Sounds bad, hope you get a different one. All the vets/nurses/etc. where we go love dogs, the receptionist goes around making a fuss of all the dogs and giving them treats Laughing so it's a real shame you got stuck with one that's obviously not the most friendly vet.

Id complain.... Iv'e had an experience with a nervous nurse. I took Shéara to have his nails clipped, she muzzled him because she wasnt sure how he was gonna react which wasnt a good start then as she started to clip away, he started getting jumpy so she rushed the job and made him bleed :@ blood everywhere. its gonna be even harder next time as im sure hes gonna associate the muzzle with pain Sad

AND she didnt even give him a bicuit at the end!! :O The cheek!!

I'd ignore and go elsewhere. I'm very lucky to have a great vet who loves Logan and can handle him better than anyone I've ever seen. Some people are just...not very nice. Wink

I'm very sorry to read you had an issue with your vet. If you feel you were treated incorrectly then make an official complaint to the practice manager who can address your complaint.

One of the vets Rocky has seen recently couldn't be more different, she is a big Staffy fan and has one herself.
