Change of food question ?
I got two free samples of puppy food called Clinivet , I asked some people about it and they said it was very good and it will work out cheaper then the Royal Canin . I decided to give it Sasha in a 50 / 50 mix of Royal Canin puppy food and the Clinivet. Her poo is very runny and she is very farty and smelly, is this the food ? the mix ? or just her body reacting to the change ?

Re: Change of food question ?
It could be the change. All dogs are different and some have sensititive stomachs. If you are going to change foods you and they are sensitive you have to do it gradually and be prepared for a few days of unpleasantness. She will adapt over time though.

Re: Change of food question ?
Poor Sasha has had a bad weekend, she had the sh**s last night in her crate and got very distressed, she through up a while later and then this morning the whole utility room was sprayed with *.
Im guessing its a reaction to the change of food, she does not seem sick and was playing with the kids for the last hour after a shower and was full of energy. I hope she is ok when I feed her later, I skipped her morning feed. She looked at me last night as if she done something wrong and felt really sorry for her...

Re: Change of food question ?
Maybe if its not working for her pop her back onto RC. I had to put mine on Royal Canin as she had a very sensitive tum and I was waking up to episodes like your having now. Sasha was so young when you got her why change now, if she was doing well on RC don't change something thats not broken so to speak Hope she is better in herself now, and the one thing my vet did advise me when mine had the runs badly was to still feed her as whats going in is coming straight back out XX

Re: Change of food question ?
I always think that if you have a food that your dog likes, is doing them good and is within your price range - stick to it!
Changing could lead to upset tums & even fussiness.
I'd change her back to the RC and see if she improves & if not, pop her to the vet.

Thanks for the advice guys, I have done as you suggested and put her back to normal. She is in good form, no smelly farts but no poo either.
