salmon oil
Im weaning my diesel onto Salmon & potatoe dry food from Wainwrights with a bit of fish 4 dogs salmon oil drizzled over it..... she was having some wet food mixed in but i want her solely on the dry....
so my question is:
Is it ok to give a larger amount than the daily stated amount of salmon oil ?
she has 3 meals a day and i wanna be able to drizzle a bit on it for her.
thx

Re: salmon oil
Hi,
I have salmon oil for Stella, it's written on the bottle that "exact dosing is important and by giving more than recommended you won't achieve better results" or something like that - it's in German But I drizzle it over Stella's meals usually once a day and I have never bothered by measuring it precisely and she's doing more than well so... I defo wouldn't like to sound like an expert, it's just what I do. I guess if I eat salmon once a week or 5 times a week - the amount of good fatty acids would differ but I wouldn't expect it to do any harm
So maybe just weight management or runny poo could be a problem but as I said Stella is fine. She loves it!

Re: salmon oil
We just add a little to each meal an try to keep roughly to what it says on the bottle, end of the day its still oil and too much is not good for you or your dog.
The salmon mouse from fish for dogs is really good too, we use them as weekend treat meals so they get a poutch of it at lunch saturday and sunday with a few biscuits.
We also get the sea jerky treats and little star training treats from them aswell which are great. Would highly recommend all their products.
