Time for backpacking?

Time for backpacking?

Suki is a year old now and I have some vacation time coming up. I was thinking of starting her off backpacking very slowly. No more than a kg or two to start and than gradually increasing from there. My only concern is the devolpment of her joints and muscles. Is it okay to start now and take it slow or should I wait until she is 18 months?

Yeah think I will wait. I REALLY want to start but am a firm believer in being cautious.

i started to soon with my dogs and xena as bad legs becasue of it
