Re: What book are you currently reading?
I just finished reading Star Island by Carl Hiaasen a comedy and Fluke by Christopher Moore, a sci-fi comedy. I recommend both to people with a quirky sense of humor (humour).
I'm currently reading The Atheist's Guide to Christmas a somewhat humorous collection of essays and stories. It's certainly not everyone's cup of tea (and I don't want to offend any theists or get into a religious debate), but I highly recommend it to Atheists and Agnostics!

Re: What book are you currently reading?
I recently read Playing with Fire by Peter Robinson. This is now a TV series being shown on ITV tonight. The main character is DCI Banks. It is a police drama set in Yorkshire. I think the books are better than the TV shows but I guess that is usually the case with this things.

His series is about an ex military policeman that roams about the country helping people. MOst of them are very well written although some of the action sequences are a little unrealistic but very entertaining.

Re: What book are you currently reading?
I picked up a Patricia Cornwall novel in the hotel lobby in Thailand a few years ago and couldn't put it down till I finished, luv lazing by a pool reading. Holidays is the only time I get to just sit and read, although give me a good book and my nose is in it at every work break and home, hubby & colleagues must think I'm very rude at times.
Might head off to the market after if the sun stays out and see if I can find a Lee Childs book.

If you like a action book he is very good. David Baldouchi (can't spell) , Vince Flynn, and Brad Thor are also excellent.

Re: What book are you currently reading?
I've read the cover of few David Balducci (not sure of spelling either) books, might look at him as well.

I adore Terry Pratchett, I too am working through his collection. I'm currently reading Night Watch which is something like his 27th book but I think he's nearly on book 40 by now so I've got a few more to go which I'm very pleased about
My other favoured author is Stephen King although I've not read him for a while as I've been busy working through the Discworld novels.

Ohhh, I've never heard of him but it does sound interesting. Just had a look on eBay for him and there's loads of books ... can I just check that 'Pawn of Prophecy' is the first one in the series? If so, I may just have to order myself a copy

Excellent author and a great book. I'm waiting on the new Stephen King book due out later this month. If you like horror and don't mind some gore try Jack Ketchum. Wonderfull author and some people think he is better than Stephen King. The Girl Next Door was espically disturbing and based on a true story.

I honestly I never thought I would enjoy Clive Barker, but did! Weaveworld was awesome. I have Imajica to read next. I used to love Stephen King as a teenager, but haven't read much over the years.
