Do They understand it?
I've Heard it said on here that dogs dont understand the sentiment or get the same enjoyment as humans from a hug. Does anybody else disagree with this? Charlie gives the BEST cuddles. He puts his head on mine or on my chest and snuggles right in. I really believe that he understands the feelings in a hug and enjoys them just as much as me

I agree when I get in from work she jumps up paws on either side of my shoulders and just nestles into my neck and when on the sofa she siddles up and puts her nose right up to my head and snuggles.
I believe they give the best cuddles

Most Definitely. I'd rather get a cuddle from charlie than my husband!

I also agree wholeheartedly. Rocky loves his cuddles. In fact he is cuddled up to his Daddy right now on our bed ><
He sleeps on the bottom on the bed at night, Rocky that is, and in the morning he has a cuddle in bed with us both, bless

I think you've hit the nail on the head there. I think that dogs are so much better at reading emotions than humans are, and when we hug them they get this warm feeling from our emotions & they love it.

If I say, mummy needs a cuddle, he comes trotting over, tail wagging, climbs straight on my lap and snuggles right in. I loooove my charlie cuddles

That's so sweet! Dempsey just jumps on us, and 5 stone of bully jumping on you isn't something to encourage!
