Are they Muslim kids? If so, it isn't the fact that she's a staff - they consider dogs in general to be 'unclean'.

The sign is in Arabic and they do consider them unclean and in general just don't like dogs

Yes i know they think they are unclean but to scream in fear there must be more to it than just that ? Even had a woman scream when she walked round a corner .As i said i feel sorry for them they muct be very scared and are passing there fear on to little kids its horrable seeing a toddler in a push chair screaming in fear makes me feel gulty for having my dog there when i go to the market i make sure my dog is not in there way as i respect there rights ect

They are brought up from a very early age with scary stories about their souls going to hell if they touch a dog! I used to live in Slough, and we had awful problems! I lived in a predominantly muslim neighbourhood & I had my staff, Bandit. Grown men would cross a dual carriageway to get away from Bandit!
It's a taught phobia, I'm afraid. They really are quite terrified not only of being bitten but of losing their soul.

wow I knew nothing of that, such a horrible myth/story to bring people up with. to be in fear of something that is always going to be around you.
