In for the chop!!!!! lol
Diesel and Clover have both gone in to be neutered today. I hope they they are getting on OK. My friend had to literally drag me out of the vets lol.
Hopefully they will still love their Mummy when I go to collect them.
My other half really didnt want Diesel to have the snip but couldnt explain why. Must be a man thing lol

I'm sure they will be okay and they are very forgiving. Best of luck in keeping them calm for the recovery.

Re: In for the chop!!!!! lol
Thankfully Rocky had this done at the rescue centre before we bought him home (it is standard procedure there before any dog is rehomed) I guess this makes sense.
Good luck, give plenty of love as I'm sure you would anyway ><

Re: In for the chop!!!!! lol
They will be fine but I know what you mean I was worrying all day when Molly went to get the snip.
An its not just a man thing BTW I am defo pro getting the snip and Duke will be done once he is 12 months old maybe 18 months at the very latest just so he has chance to bulk up a little and mature mentally before having it done.

I'm sure they will both be fine. I think it can be a man thing, we used to get a lot of this when I was working at the vets. Some men, not all, don't agree with dogs getting the snip because they think of the procedure on themselves and feel sorry for the dog. It's not a bad procedure at all and they will get over it really quickly!
Tinkerbell will be going in to be spayed in the next couple of months as she finished her season a week or so ago!

Awwww, they'll be fine. They will be a bit sleepy when you collect them but after 24 hrs they will no doubt be back to there usual energetic selves.
I'm sure my girl did'nt realise anything had been done coz she acted no differently to normal once the drugs had worn off.

You sure these are not little boys who look like men lol.
Personally I dont feel sorry for them having it done, simpley as I know its for the best in the long run. No possibility of accidental breeding which I would hate to be involved in. Less chance of cancer. Generally better for calming them down a little. Ok so having the op is not nice for them but best for everybody involved IMO.
Saying you feel sorry for them as you would not like to have you balls off is a lame excuse IMO. To be honest if I had no plans of children, I probley would get the snip myself an there is no health benifits for for doing it in humans. Just makes sence if you dont want babies do something to stop it happening.
I even seen on a vets program based in Australia on the TV the other day where they had there dog having his bits done but the condition the male owner made was the can can only have it done if he can have replacement fake balls to keep him looking like a real male. I was so shocked.

Lol in my opinion the men I seen making a fuss about bringing their dogs in for the snip were very childish. I had my male sheepdog neutered because I have no intention of breeding him, and will have Tinkerbell done too. My partner agrees with getting dogs done, so I do think it is just some immature men who feel this way. Whilst I was on the vet nurse degree I heard a few stories of men wanting prosthetic balls put back into their staffies because they thought the other dogs would laugh if they had no balls. Like I say it isn't all men, just a select few idiots lol.

Re: In for the chop!!!!! lol
Well they both still love me lol
Diesel is absolutely fine. You wouldnt know that hes had surgery. Clover is feeling very sorry for herself. She's obviously feeling very uncomfortable and is very, vry quiet. She didnt want any dinner yesterday, but has had some breakfast this morning, so thats good. I slept on the sofa with her last night as she was finding it hard to settle and kept whimpering Hopefully she will perk up a little by tonight.

Re: In for the chop!!!!! lol
Aw bless glad they are ok though. No doubt Clover will feel a bit out of sort for a couple of days but she will come round eventually as she gets less sore. It's to be expected really considering the difference in procedure for a bitch and dog. Glad Diesel is ok though!

Its not just a 'man' thing i suppose. I'm female and I can't stand the thought of chopping off Romeo's balls. His behaviour and personality are a joy to be around so there would be no benefit to doing it-unless it was for health reasons-but testicular cancer is the rarest form of cancer in dogs. I have no intention of interferring with nature, Dogs have lived quite happily with their balls for thousands of years.
