Summer loses the argument with the wasp!
Summer decided that a wasp was a good playmate today and found out the hard way that they arent. She had been playing in the front garden with the boys and they brought her in, she was shaking and I just couldn't work out what was wrong, shouted for the boys and asked what was wrong and had anything happended and 12 year old said 'Oh yeah, forgot, she got stung by a wasp on her lip'!!! lets just say the air was blue by the time i had finished with him, couldve quite happily strangled him. Had a look at her and her top lip was swollen, she looked really sorry for herself and didnt seem to know what to do with herself, poor thing looked like Snoopy. Everything was ok otherwise, checked her tongue, neck and anywhere else and just watched her for a while, she nodded off to sleep for half an hour, dribbling like an old man, but woke up and the swelling had subsided a little and she had a drink, so gave her some dinner but only chicken, carrots and gravy, didnt want to make her eat her dry food incase she was struggling with chewing and stuff.
She looks a bit better now, and it looks like no lasting effects, but whether it will teach her a lesson that wasps are not to be played with, remains to be seen.
Shouldve seen me trying to work out whether i had enough cash for petrol for the car and a massive vet bill, I was like a woman possessed!

Re: Summer loses the argument with the wasp!
Hi all, after a few hours of tlc and general spoiling she was fine, made sure she had lovely food (spoilt brat) and nothing that would need much chewing lol
She is fine today, as if nothing has happened, she worried the life out of me. I dont doubt this is the 1st, but will not be last by a long shot!
