thunder and lightening

Hi
With this warm humid weather we have been having.It as started thundering today in wakefield My 3 dogs are Scared.And have all just ran to the dining room to me. Im sat here at pc with them all at my feet shaking Poor little loves does anybody else have the same problem.with your dogs.

Diesel used to shake loads, he would have to hide behind the couch or in the bathroom bless him!.
Vinnie just stands up and barks at it lol .. and skye hasnt heard it yet bless her

my old boy barney is scared of fireworks.he shakes and pants all through November.My little jessie is ok.Im just hoping my little milly is going to be ok

aww! vinnie dont mind fireworks he was born 2months old come bonfire night so didnt really pay much attention and it seems to have worked with any loud bangs

rescue remedy drops applied straight onto the tongue can do wonders..

also if you can afford it.. try the thundershirt ! works for my old staffy.

My old girl Kita sleeps through thunderstorms these days, although she never was that bothered by them, I think it's because she was born in cyclone season in Cairns.
Izzy's a bit restless, we had some big thunder last week & she was lying on my bed while I was pretending I was asleep like Kita, when the loudest thunder I've heard in ages seemed to crash on the roof. Even I let out a startled yelp! So much for teaching the dog not to be alarmed by it

Suki is terrified of it. She will bark and run under the desk. After 10 minutes or so she will usually come to accept it and return to normal.

I think i have the only dog that loves thnderstorms, with the one we are having at the minute harv is sat on the back door step watching it

Skye was that scared she was laid on her back, legs in the air... SNORING! Nothing phases the girl lol

Well Lola hasn't heard thunder yet, but I'm guessing by the weather reports that it's imminent.

But she has heard fireworks and sat up barking, so looking forward to Nov 5th NOT.

Nobody here cares, hope Gummi will learn from the others that thunderstorms are good for snuggling up on the couch and have a good time. We haven't had many, though, so I would love a few more thunderstorms this summer so he gets used to it.

Cairo isnt bothered by thunder and lightning,not that weve seen any wish we would get some decient rain,still really hot here

I second that!! lol.. bit of rain my side this morn but no thunder! .. watch it thunder as i leave the house to go shopping! lol .. il leave the radio on for skye as shes not hear it b4 so not sure how she'll react (she cried when she heard fireworks) .. shes got her big bro by her crate to keep her safe!

my previous dog Max (boxer) LOVED thunders and fireworks and anything that shoots and makes loud noise. we've even taken him for paint ball fighting once and he really enjoyed the shooting sounds weird dog it was, bless him!

we're not sure about Mambo tho, we havent experienced any major thunderstorm or close fireworks sine we adopted him, the only ones he could here were far away and he was really interested, listening closely to the sound and he even barked few times (which he does VERY rarely). wondering how he will react on bonfire night or new years night!

our staffy lizzy (now passed away) would run outside and bark, bark, bark at thunder, and if it was raining at the same time, jump up and catch the rain. even with car window slightly down in the rain u just saw these jaws open and close to catch the rain. but she got very anxious at the same time, whining, running in and out the doggie dr. but it was he excersise on wet days. lol

We've just had rain,thunder and lighting, and Bruno didn't bad a eyelid, yet a bird in a tree flapping its wings spook him
