Unbelievable - tenager behavour
I was out walking Sophie this morning when the weather suddenly got quite hot. Sophie is not too good walking in the heat so I turned round and started to walk back home with her.
When we meet strangers in the street she does get over excited so we have made a point of stopping her and making her sit nicely and allowing people to pass. We are in a village setting so do not meet too many people at once.
This morning, coming towards me were four teenagers, I would estimate all between 14 and 15. I sat Sophie down and stepped back to give them room to pass. Suddely, one of the girls lunged at Sophie, putting her face right down towards her, waved her arms around and screamed.
Sophie, I am pleased to say did not bat an eyelid. I made a comment to the girl concerned that I didn't think it very funny frightening Sophie and she just laughed openly and walked away.
It was just so idiotic and unnecessary. God help us, the school holidays have started.

school holidays, bain of my life, where little strumpets act exactly how those pranits act, and ruin all my lovely quiet walks! Well done Sophie, I do know that in back of your mind you would have loved to give the little brats nose a nip (and this is a general opinion, there not all that bad!)

Re: Unbelievable - tenager behavour
Idiot's.
We have kids round here that always want to stroke Lola and I made the mistake of telling them her name when they asked, now all I get is LOLA when I walk past, but I would never let them stroke her. They always ask and I say no, then they obvioulsy always ask why, and I just * a deafen lol.
I can relate to the part about people walking past.
Lola thankfully doesn't even bother with people now when we walk past them.
But she used to want to jump up and hug them and all sorts lol, to the point where I would cross the road whenever I saw someone.
But now she just walks past and doesn't care.
I have always said a firm "NO" and it seems to have worked, thankfully.

When we used to get people being a pain with Bandit (and Dempsey) I used to say loudly, as we got close to them, "Leave! Leave 'em!" and hold the lead really short! Most of them would either cross the road Or slide past without a word!

Re: Unbelievable - tenager behavour
I seriously do wonder about SOME teens of today ( I have two girls age 14 and 12 and am so thankful that they are the way they are....certainly not angels but they have manners and show respect )
SOME teens have no regard for others and think they are so much above rules and regulations, manners, common sense etc....
They seem to caught up in there own little world and try to "grow up" before they're ready. It's like they TRY to act all cool ( well, NOT cool but they think it is ) in front of there friends which in actual fact is NOT cool at all.
Well done Sophie

Well scaring a Staffy isn't a very smart decision. Glad yours didn't react.
