Unbelievable
I was doing some shopping earlier iin my local area, it is all pedestrianised, no cars. Anyway this woman came out a shop (which she owns) with 5 dashunds on the lead and 1 off the lead, either a minature or a puppy. There was a staffy walking by on the lead and this little one just hurled itself at the staffy, barking and growling. The staffy luckily didnt bother and the owner just carried on walking but the woman just stood there watching him, didnt even bother to call him back. Just waited for the dog to come back in his own time and then walked off. I wonder what her reaction would of been if the staffy had retaliated? I could just imagine her reaction! Stupid woman!!

I'd like to see them laugh if Tank flings himself all over another dog ! Ain't gonna happen is it !

Re: Unbelievable
Dachshunds tend to be quite barky and prone to nipping so I've experienced this myself too lol. I do know what you mean about the double standards of judging the behaviour of different breeds. It's really unfortunate.

Re: Unbelievable
This seems to be a fairly common story of the Staffy on the lead being aggrieved by the loose dog. This has happened to me so many times now I have lost count. Some dog owners are just irresponsible, it's a simple as that and they can't be bothered to keep their dogs on leads and under control
You may have guessed this is one of things that really winds me up

Re: Unbelievable
It's always the small dog owners. Well, not always, but the badly behaved small dogs are so often owned by people who don't care, but they're the first ones to shout devil dog if, god forbid, a Staff so much as growls at their dog. The crazy thing is, although the owner of any breed of dog, including Staffs, can be irresponsible, in my own experience, it's been Staff owners and large breed dog owners that are the most responsible ones.
