Sometimes Stubborn or Scared
My Little Samantha, is 3 months old... I have a couple of observations since I've had her.
1. She is loving and playful for sure. She plays with the other animals just fine. However, when I call her over to me, 5 times out of 10 it is like I don't exist. She refuses to even acknowledge me. I have other dogs and when I call them, they come, but not Samantha. We have a loving household and she is definitely spoiled to say the least. I just don't know if I have done something wrong.
2. She will often sit next to me on the couch and really cozy up to me most of the time, but then there are times where I go to pet her and she just gets like scared or antsy... I am not sure, if I have done something wrong, but I am worried that I don't have her trust.
Maybe it's just me, but I want to make sure that I am giving her the best home and love she can get here. She is such a great little puppy. I am so happy with her here and she brings tons of joy to the house as well...
Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Re: Sometimes Stubborn or Scared
I doubt you're doing anything wrong exactly. But she's 3 months old & playing is more fun than listening to you!
Is it inside or outside that she doesn't listen? What other dogs do you have?
As regards the 'scared/antsy' times, try and keep a check on exactly what you did immediately beforehand - it could be you're doing something to startle her?

Re: Sometimes Stubborn or Scared
Thanks for the quick response... Sam mostly doesn't listen when she is inside the house. Outside, she seems to listen fairly well. I have a German Shepherd (8yrs old) Pomeranian mix (2 yrs) and Chihuahua mix (8yrs).
As for the scared/antsy, I will keep an eye and be mindful about actions. These past couple of days she seems fine, so I am not sure what it was all about. I just want to make sure that I earn her trust. She follows me everywhere and likes to sleep on the couch next to me. She actually lays on my fee most of the time... She also sleeps in our room on the foot of the bed. So I will report back if I see anything else that throws up a red flag for me.

Re: Sometimes Stubborn or Scared
Trust your gut.
If your dog wants to move away, accept that. It's all about trust.
If you feel, for example, you need a bit of space between you and a friend, you'd either say so or tactfully move away?
Your dog doesn't do 'tactful'.
But YOU need to read exactly what is wanted!
