Re: Greeting from the Netherlands
Hellos, welcome and good on you for adopting your boy.
He really is lovely!
As to his breed, I do think he looks like an AmStaff though he could also be a cross that you state.
I would see if he drools because mastiffs and boxers do, staffies and AmStaffs don’t

Hello & welcome.
Wow, he's a lovely looking boy isn't he? How big is he?
Really? You should have met my Stafford - he could drool for England!

Hi from me & Katy, Tommy is a handsome boy I certainly can't see any boxer in him or mastiff tbh I would probably agree on Amstaff

Maybe, but staffies don’t really have a huge reputation for their bootlaces

Re: Greeting from the Netherlands
Thanks for all the replies. I'm considering a dns test, or would that be a waste of money? He's around 50 cm at the shoulders. Weighs 20 kg at the moment, but could use about 1-2 kg more I think. His legs are so long compared to the rest of his body. Maybe he's lacking some muscle. The vet said he could use some more weight.
He's great already however
P.S. He drools when he's anticipating his breakfast or diner. Or when hungry and he sees something tasty. Then the drool starts flowing.

Re: Greeting from the Netherlands
A DNA test will tell you what mixes are in there so if you have the means and the curiosity, then why not. It might give you the explanation for certain behaviours that you might see in your boy too.

Re: Greeting from the Netherlands
Haha, so you don't use squeakers then? This guy's so incredibly clingy to me. I'm never sleeping or chilling on the couch alone again. But he's so rough with strange dogs. Also he's very mouthy when playing. Kinda hurts. Other than that, he behaves okay on walks. Pulls like crazy though at times. Also pulls towards strangers when very close. Once lunged at a guy walking agressively straight for us. (Which I cant really blame him for). Usually in for a quick pet when approach is normal. He's okay around food, but don't leave it in reach. When you're eating, not really annoying when clear that he needs to ignore it or go away.
Alright sorry for rambling. Here's my current situation.
