Hiya all,

I have a 4 month old Staffy pup, who is devine. I was wondering, when will his head and body grow out and the delve in between his head, when will that, happen? I've heard their skull cracks, is that right?
I can't see the delve at the moment, I can feel it though if I rub his head.

Thanks!
From Rebecca and Ollie.

hi from me and coco

my understanding is their heads do not split or crack it is simply a line that appears in the middle of the head as the dog matures in to adult hood the line which you see is caused by muscle growth in the dogs head which leaves this indent which to some may appear as if the dogs head has split. hope this helps.

what Kris says is right, as his muscle develops so will the definition in his head. From the looks of your lad he is going to be a chunky boy. The rule for stafford growth is usually as follows (though all dogs develop at different rates like children)
* During the first year they grow up
* For the next 18months - 2years they will grow out!

Ah I see.
Yeah, I think he's going to be a chunky lad!
Do you think he'll be tall or short?
I think he has muscly(sp?) back legs.
Just people say he's long legged.
