I’m new here. This is my boy Hugo. He’s 7 weeks old. Out of curiosity what breed would you say he was just by looking at him. I’m asking as Mum is a Staff x Mastiff and I’ll post the photo of both Mum and Dad as I was told Dad was just a blue Merle, so i still don’t know his actual breed unless anyone in here does. That what be great! I know the breeder is suppose to give all this. I’m not concerned about Hugo as he’s loved so so much anyway. Like I said it’s just curiosity of what breed others think he is. Thank you everyone🥰 [url=https://servimg.com/view/20241295/2]

Re: What breed what you say my 7 week old boy Hugo is.
Hello and welcome.
I presume the parents are the two in your first photo and Hugo is the merle with blue eyes ?
Firstly, I’m disappointed that your “breeder” didn’t give you all of this information and more importantly, that they let Hugo leave before 8 weeks old which is the minimum legal (and social) age a pup can leave their mum.
If those are the parents, it’s not easy to see but for mum, I don’t see any mastiff traits, sorry. She looks alot staffy though.
Dad looks like some kind of collie cross, like an australian shepherd maybe. Would help to explain the merle and blue eyes which are not very common in staffies anymore.
Hugo does look like a sweetheart though, has he been home long ?

Yes. The first photo is Mum and Dad. He turned 7 weeks Friday and we’ve had him Since Saturday. He’ll be 8 weeks come this Friday.
Here are some more photos of him. I was just curious on what breed others what say he was. I said myself, I don’t think Mam is a cross as I seen her myself including Dad.
Thank you for replying.

Hi & welcome.
Dad doesn't look like a blue merle anything - he looks more tri-colour collie cross. Mum looks like a Stafford, although the photo doesn't indicate size.
I take it (or rather, I hope) it was an accidental mating?
Hugo's gorgeous by the way.
