Training
Hi,
Nero is now 12 weeks old and basic training appears to be going well.We started puppy training classes on Saturday but now I am beginning to feel overwhelmed by all the training /instructions I have to follow. There doesn’t seem enough time in the day or Neros day to achieve everything.
I am worried that I might miss something important for something not so important.

Re: Training
I would concentrate on getting a good recall & a leave command Make training fun & you will get a better result.

Re: Training
If you're overwhelmed by the classes, it may be that they're pushing too hard, too soon. He's only 12 weeks, puppy classes should only cover the basics - loose lead walking, recall, how to health check, leave, sit, down, stay. They should cover each in turn, not everything at once.

Re: Training
Hi Gilly,
I’m not necessarily overwhelmed by the classes as we have only had one, but knowing what is important and what is not so important,Nero sleeps a lot during the day and with my own commitments there is not enough time to train him on all aspects.I only have his attention for 10 mins before he starts to wander.

Re: Training
To be honest, twice a day for 10 minutes each time is probably enough.
