Hello Everyone.
I thought I would introduce myself and tell you a little story to explain how I just got my little girl.
When I was younger I had a Male Staffy he was 1yr old when I bought him and I got him from a paper
called freeads, there was no internet back then, he was my best mate and we did everything together
but I had to send him on his way to doggy heaven when he was 16 years old as his quality of life was poor
because of various health conditions, it was probably the hardest thing I have ever done.
Many years have passed since then and I am 50yrs old and disabled now and been thinking about getting
another dog for a few years but having lived on my own for so long I never did anything about it
because I am used to it just being me and I kinda like that and am scared of change.
A few weeks ago I put a wanted advert on the pet4homes website saying I was looking to re-home a young
Staffy puppy and a few days later I get a phone call from a guy saying he came across my advert and he has girl and boy Staffy puppies for sale, both are white and 8 weeks old, he wanted £150 for each of them and would deliver for £20, I said I was interested and would like to see a picture so he took my email address and said he would send me a pic then phone me back.
After hanging up the phone with him I phoned my next door neighbour and asked him if I bought all the stuff would he put a gate up on the side of my house and he said yes of course and i told him i might be getting a puppy. So I hang up with him and then the guy that's selling me the puppy phones up again and I tell him I will have the girl one.
He wanted £70 deposit but I knew it was a risk as Iv'e never spoken to him before and said I would be happier paying him £50 and the remaining £120 when he brings the puppy to me on Sunday.
He said that's fine and told me he was a decent guy and would never rip anyone off as he knows what it feels like etc, So I do a bank transfer for £50 there and then while he is on the phone with me and he tells me to send him my address in email, so I do and that's it deal done, we finish the conversation.
5 mins after hanging up with him I google his phone number and come across a web-page with loads of people that he has scammed in exactly the same way, all kind of dogs hes offered to people and taken deposits and they never hear from him again. my heart sunk as at that point I knew iv'e been conned.
I sent neighbour a txt message saying iv'e just been conned, lost £50 and dont need the gate anymore and I receive an email from this guy saying the puppy needs chipping and it will be an xtra £30 so I phone him up telling him I know I have just been conned by him and hes denying it all so i sent him the link with the website with all the other people listing his phone number, name and email address and hes still denying it. So he says give me your bank acc number and sort code and he will transfer me the money back and I said no as I don't trust him, so he says do you a deal if he sends me the £50 back in the morning by 9am will I go on that website and say hes not a scammer, I know he just wants to continue doing it to other people so I said yes if you return my money in the morning I will do that and we left it like that. I know he wont return my money but even if he does hes ripped off so many other people I will post on there saying he tried to rip me off too.
I phoned up my bank and the department I need that might be able to help me is closed until 8am, I doubt they can help but maybe with all the information I have about him and his scams and I have his acc and sort code numbers they might be able to get his account blocked so he cant do it to any other people.
After phoning the bank I phone the police to report it and while on the phone to them my neighbour is trying to ring me and i'm trying to cancel it because i'm on the phone to the police, so he rings my other number and i'm trying to cancel that too lol.
After hanging up with the police I phone neighbour and explain whats happened and this blew my mind, he said he might know of a dog for me so I ask for more details and his Sister's daughter has an 8 week old pure white girl Staffy puppy for sale, that's exactly the same breed, colour, sex and age as the dog i just bought on the phone 30 mins earlier, keeping in mind I didn't give him any details about the dog at all, not even breed so what are the chances of that being a coincidence ?
She wanted £500 but as a favour to him she would let her go for £350 and let me pay in installments as neighbour and I are good friends, He also would collect it etc. I said I needed a few hours to get my head in gear and I would get back to him tomorrow.
I messaged him about 30 mins later and told him I would take her.
"Shey" came to me on Christmas Eve and she is the cutest little girl, a real heart breaker.
She is not chipped or had any vaccinations but these will be done soon as Christmas is over.

Hi! Wow, great introduction.
Firstly, whoever sold the pup has broken the law as pups must be microchipped before leaving the breeder. Please do take her to your vet ASAP to get this done.
She's beautiful, isn't she? I'm not surprised you fell in love with her - who wouldn't with those eyes?

Hi Gilly , I am aware of the micro chipping law but I guess the breeder/Owner wasn't.
She has a collar with her name, my street name/number, postcode and phone number on and will definitely be getting chipped asap,
