Well we eventually moved last Friday and although I have kept familiar things and routines more or less the same Vinnie is struggling to settle. We are having to do a lot of inside work i.e strip paper rip up carpets and such like and wondering if that maybe making him worse but it has to be done as I cant stand the musty smell any longer. He is eating and sleeping at night ok but is very jumpy as in nervous and panting a lot (but that could be heat) as its very hot in this bungalow even with fan on and all curtains shut. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Sad Sad

I know I am trying to find a suitable walk that I can do morning and evening as he likes routine but its proving difficult as all so hilly and I am from this area its ridiculous I will have to go and have a moot and work out a route

Good to hear the house move is going well.
It’s baking hot here too but it should cool considerably over the next few days.
Have you set Vinnie’s pool ? That will help him cool off if he goes for a paddle.

I'm sure it was stressful for Vinnie with the move & a strange smelling house! Once you get him back into a routine he will settle down. Maybe try them adaptil plug in's to calm him, I've never tried them though.

Just read the blue cross website it says the apparent obvious to get an old bit of clothing scent from the old house but also says get a cotton cloth and wipe your dogs nose everyday i would never have thought of that .....
