Why strange? the convertible roof folds back and rear windscreen folds into boot then roof it obviously caught on something and shattered probably a weak point it happens quite a lot with convertibles

Well, it isn’t supposed to catch on something (or else some engineer didn’t do a very good job !)
Just glad you can get it fixed without being too much out of pocket, and that you weren’t caught under a rain shower !!

Nothing to do with the engineering if there are items in boot the screen is pulled across before roof can be activated so it must have gone down on something that wasnt quite flat though I did check ,,,,,,,,,,, its a poor mans convertible James peugeot 207
