Introducing ourselves.

Hi peps & pups.... we're Stuart and Belle. I've recently had some major changes in my life, I became clean after 37 yrs of using and abusing certain class "A" substances (14 mnth & Going)..So I decided to take on a soul other than my own to care for. I only spoke to one friend about getting a dog, 3 days later i'm adopting Belle, luckily it was love at first site, she liked me, now she run rings around me and we've only been together 10 weeks. lol She has such a lovely temperament and is well house trained, she's not a barker at all so if she wants outside she gets animated, shouts at me till I lay down her lead and harness letting her know i get the message, she makes me laugh so much, I have become a better person because of her, she gets me out of the flat, and she just loves being outside running around the local fields like a mad thing, she won't chase sticks, balls, play with toys, or that stuff but out in a field chasing birds she's in her element, and Cats oh boy, if she sees one I get my arm wrenched out of my socket, she's off like Usain Bolt off the blocks, thing is she's such a softy I fear the cat would rip her to bits if she ever did get to catch one....So I joined the site so I can pick up tips and advice on making Belles life more fun and enjoyable. so hope we have fun whilst here. so cheers everyone....enjoy your dogs.....

Thank you for sharing your story, it's always fantastic to hear about staffies helping people and it sounds like Belle is already making your life a happier place. And equally you're making hers a better place too. Do you know anything about her background?

Hi Liz, Thanks for the welcome, I'm a new dog owner, well i had 1, 35 yrs back, anyway Belle is a rehoused dog, last owners(mom & 3 kids) had from birth. Now just me & her. I'm looking for advice on helping Belle be happy, she's happy,I'm happy. so hopefully your site will help once i'm used to site. Thanks again. Happy Dogs Life. xx
Background....Yes she came from a home with mom & 3 young kids, (12-9-5 ages) they had her from birth, they also have a (shi zu) can't spell] Ha, and a small terrier, Belle supposedly killed a pup from the next door????? she knew said pup, I can't get it myself she's so daft and soft, but owner said, Belle Goes away or........ the needle! I TOOK HER as soon as I heard it just was V.V. LUCKY i was looking for a dog so now she's mine.

Welcome from Misty and I. So lovely to hear about her. They really are the best friend anyone could ever have. The love between dogs and humans is incredible. Can't wait to hear about your adventures together.

Cheers Ian. it's been a few weeks now since I joined, and Belle is now the Boss! This last week I finally got her chip details from her last owner and I am now officially Belles dad, after transferring her over to me. we registered with the local vet, and I have found what keeps her occupied, she won't do toys, balls, sticks, rope, but give her a bone and she's in heaven. I have loads more images and was considering making a photo diary as I post pic's for her old family all the time. and I couldn't write something every day. anyway cheers again. Stu & Belle.
