=( Poor Georgii =(

My mums Springer is very poorly, took him to the vets yesterday and they keep him over night, he had swollen lymph glands? and a temp of 107c ! he wasn't eating or drinking, very lethargic, and v.sloppy poo's etc.

Mums just called me to let me know the vet thinks he might have Leukemia =( He's only 2. I'm so sad, I lived with mum when they got him as a pup, and my rent work, so i raised him, i only didn't take him with me when i moved because my OH already had Henry!
Mum has insurance which is good because its already cost her well over £500 !

I'm so upset, poor george =(

Oh, poor George. That is sooooo sad.
Did the vets say if there was anything they could do if it is Lukemia ?? It's heart-breaking when they're ill.

not sure what the vet is doing today, but george is having a bi op on monday then the results of that will tell us whats wrong. from what ive read on the net about luekemia, there is 2 different types acute and chronic, if he has acute hes only got months left at the most, if its chronic its treatable .....so fingers crossed. thank you all so much for your kind words. this is a very hard time for me and my family xxxx

Iam so very pleased to say that (results pending) the vets have said that George has got a severe lymphnode? infection and will be okay with a bit of treatment!!! i say results pending but the vet was 100% its not cancer, im soooooooooooo HAPPY!!!!!! thanks

George is still Improving, and even managed a brief walk around the field earlier.. He needs to put his weight back on but so far so good!

Thanks, He's still not 100% after the first week he stopped responding to the antibiotics, so he had to go to the vets everyday for an injection, but since has improved loads! he's slowly putting his weight back on, but has now got a cough!! but he's back to his usual springy/mental self!! xxxxx
