Hello and welcome from us.
Sasha is such a sweetie !
Dad looks AmStaff to me, Sasha’s taken dad’s face markings at least.
Ears will do strange things at that age so will be interesting to see how they finally set

Re: Hello from us lot and Sasha :)
An AmStaff x staffy is illegal in the UK ?
Are you sure ?
I was under the impression that only the pitbull TYPE was illegal ?
Depends how He grows up but it’s most likely that he’ll be referred to as a staffy cross, nothing more

Re: Hello from us lot and Sasha :)
Surely if her dad was amstaff the seller would know and sell for a higher price to the wrong kind of people I even asked and she said nope he’s staffie but he just looks far to big

Re: Hello from us lot and Sasha :)
No she's definitely NOT illegal in the UK. Only four types are illegal and Amstaff are not one of them so please don't worry!
She's absolutely stunning, just make sure she's a well trained girl and you will be fine. She looks like a Staffy x to me. She's gorgeous x

Hi and welcome from me and mine
Sasha is a real poppet and, as others have said, don't worry about the ears. a) they do develop as the dog grows and b) she'll be the same Sasha whatever her ears look like.

Re: Hello from us lot and Sasha :)
Sasha looks fab and those ears look just like my girls, when they are in the right position
AmStaffs are very rare in the UK so I doubt he's that. What most people forget is that a male Staffy can be quiet a bit bigger than the female so it could simply be a case of perception or dad might even be a cross himself.
You won't be able to call Sasha a full Staffy as there are no papers so completely entitled to call her a cross. In any event, as long as she's well trained and socialised you won't have any problems, just a lifetime of Staffy fun
Welcome to the forum btw

Re: Hello from us lot and Sasha :)
Hi & welcome.
Firstly, she's gorgeous!
Secondly, just tell people she's a Staffordshire bull Terrier Cross & leave it at that!
Thirdly, to those who think an AmStaff is legal in the UK, please look up the background. An AmStaff is the registered version of a pit bull, and as such is a 'type' and is therefore illegal.
However, the chances of her dad being an AmStaff are VERY slim. He's probably just a large staff. Plus, of course, an Irish Staff is a staff. So no problem there. Some people use the term 'Irish Staff' as another name for pit bull, but I wouldn't concern yourself with that. I've seen loads of larger, longer-legged Staffords around & there's no problem. But don't ever say she even MIGHT be an AmStaff or pit bull & that way you should be okay. Just make sure she's socialised, friendly & trained well & nobody will care!
