I lost my best friend today
I lost the one that saved me
I lost the one that always made me smile when I was sad
I lost the one that gave me unconditional love, when others only know hatred
I was supposed to look after you & I let you down
You trusted me with your life & I let you down
I should of seen you weren't well
I should of seen you were in pain
Instead I took you for granted, when you needed me most
If it weren't for you I wouldn't be here, you saved me Sassy & I let you down
You gave me a reason to live & now your gone
I need my baby girl, I miss you so much I can't explain
People offer word of kindness, I don't want words, I want you & only you
I couldn't watch you go, i had to run away, I panicked, I didn't know what to do
All i can think about is how scared you must of been, I left you there alone,  i did more than let you down
Thats something I can't forgive myself for & I understand if you don't love me anymore
But please understand Sassy you will always be my girly whirly, my big girl
The house feels sad & empty, we are all so sad & empty
I see you everywhere i look & all I can do is cry

It's such a hard time when you have to let them go, you weren't to know it was going to be so sudden and couldn't have known.

I am certain that Sassy loved you for all the love you gave her

As you know we lost our big girl Sassy a month ago to a pyometra, our Brian is suffering since Sassy went he looks so sad, he loves her like she was mum and its destroying us watching him looking for her or sleeping in her favourite spots, we have decided to keep a pup to help him and to help me, its another black with white girl with a white tip on tail and Brian is the pups daddy.
