MINI STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER LOOK ALIKES

i was looking at some ads today and come across this what a load of S#$T just thought i would share to see what you think will post a pic of the pups when i get home from work


MINI STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER LOOK ALIKES READY NOW 1 Boy and 3 girls. Mum is a JRT and dad is a KC Reg Boston. Picture 1 is of all our lovely doggies, mum is the JRT in the front. Picture 2 is of the puppies and Picture 3 is of dad. Dad is a friendly, fun boy owned by a good friend of mine. Mum is a loving family pet, she is extremely friendly, not yappy or snappy, mum has done a wonderful job of bringing her little ones up. The puppies have been wormed from two weeks of age and weaned on Royal Cannine dog food. They have had their first injections and are ready to go to their new loving homes. The puppies with leave with a comprehensive puppy pack including, lots of literature with guidance for the new owner, plenty of food the pup is eating, toys, poop bags, treats and a sheepskin bed. I have a reference from my vet for any potential new puppy owner to view. £400 for the boys and £500 for the girls. these idiots are wrong in the head, a cross bred dog to me is worth around a fiver, years ago you had to give them away or kill them now they want £300+ and people pay it, their off there heads

Oh dear!

All that we want you to understand is that it is not fair to SELL cross-breed dogs. I believe the lady that sells them is nice and all, but the headline like this is used to make money from selling cross breed which is not worth the money! (but worth a good home and a loving owner!). Practices like this only encourage inproper breeding and mislead people. Even if she didn't do it on purpose, that's what it is!

And I personally do not really believe that the name was a joke, because people who don't really know about dog breeds will believe there is something like SBT Miniature. With all the problems that Staffs and their owners currently experience in the UK it is just very very bad thing to do.

And please, as you were already told, don't shout (meaning - don't use CAPS LOCK) and stick around, have a look at the forum and see that there are only nice people here and all we want is to keep Staffies and their owners happy and educated about the breed (and cross breeds).

Thanks for giving us an insight to this story from completely different point of view - we all accept it and understand it, but now you need to understand why we reacted the way we did.

Bo Jacks I like it.I'm not sure what the big deal with people cross breeding is.After all aren't all dogs crossed at some point in there history.I think there cute and it seems the breeder has done all the right things.I would love to see some pics of your pup Dannilovemykids they look adorable in the pic above.

I like Boston Russell Terrier myself. They are awfully cute and I hope each of them finds a loving home. BUT I really am tired of seeing people intentionally breeding mutts. Walk into your local shelter and you will see that it is filled to the brim with dogs that will die if they don't find a home. I really don't think any one should breed any dog unless it is to further a bloodline or breed. Though, she does seem to have done a lot more for the dogs then most people who breed these kinds of dogs.

I will put money on these pups not being health tested with L-2-HGA, Hereditary Cataract, PHPV ,PPSC or any jack russel issues this breeder as back yard breeder writen all over it

£400 / £500 for a X breed anybody paying that amonth is just plain stupid !

Pittboss, that's the reason I don't like cross breeds (and I don't mean mongrels - I mean deliberately crossing two specific breeds). It's nothing against the dogs themselves. But when you cross two pedigree breeds you introduce the health problems from each breed into the poor unsuspecting pup (and new owner). The vast majority of people who breed these dogs deliberately have only £ signs flashing in front of their eyes. They couldn't give a s*it about where the pups go, or what their health will be like in weeks or months to come.

They don't breed because there was an accidental mating, or to better a particular breed, but purely to make some money with the sale of 'designer' pups with ludicrous name such as Labradoodles or Poostaffs.

Its bad enough that they have had a cross breed litter IMO, far to many dogs in rescue at the min an if you want a cross breed then there are literally 1000s to choose from.

How they can call them mini staffys god only know firstly no such breed exists and secondly there is no staffy in them if they are JRT crossed with Boston Terrier. Where is the staffy in that at all???

So they have reduced the price but even so you can get a pure breed staff pup for that sorta money aslong as you dont mind about how good a pedigree.

Things like this are really sick, if the breeding was on purpous then whats is wrong with these people an if it was an accident why are they asking for such amount of money??? They should be asking for people with good homes and at the most £100.

Also just noticed their age 15 Weeks, who is seriously going to pay that money??? They should have gone at 8 weeks. Nearly 2 months later they still not gone and they still expect that kind of money, absolute madness. More pups gonna end up in a rescue.

Thats one of the most ridiculous things i've ever heard. Why would you compare them to staffies in any shape or form? There terrier cross breeds!
My boy is a 'genuine' mini staffy; he stands 14 inch to the shoulder and has short legs, known as a short legged type. I wouldn't bloody breed him and call the puppys micro staffies though, that would just confuse people!

mm you have a stafford..you dont have a short legged type,or a genuine mini staff,you have a stafford.same as people who say they have Irish staffords they have pits..

Hence why I put the genuine in quote marks, its a joke. I disagree that irish staffs are pits though.

unfortantlly any staff/staffyx that are not to standard ie long legs or more attletic build fall into the group that can be classed pit bull type

Oh yeh there definately type thanks to the ridiculous bsl, but i could cross a boxer with a poodle and it might end up being type. A dog looking type is a lot different from it actually being a genuine american pitbull terrier, I don't think irish staffs should be called staffs either. They should be called irish blue terriers or something.

Not all Irish Staffordshire Bull Terriers are Pit Bulls. But, a lot of people carried on breeding pit bulls after the ban & called them Irish Staffs! So you don't always know what you're getting, and 12 months down the line your wonderful pup is taken away from you by the police as a pit bull or pit bull type, and is pts.

Blue after the blue paul terrier which contributed a lot to the pitbull breed. I know there not all blue I still disagree there pits, a type of pitbull certainly, but not a true blooded american pitbull terrier. I've met a lot of apbt-proper ones- and irish staffs, and there not the same standing shoulder to shoulder. I wish i had a pic to show you guys.

To me (and most good advocates), Pit Bull means American Pit Bull Terrier (or American Staffordshire Terrier). They may as well be Pit Bulls as they have been bred to the point where they look just like them (and many probably have Pit Bull blood), but unless they are APBTs or AmStaffs, they are not Pit Bulls. Just like a Pit Bull that is shorter then the standard doesn't become a Stafford. They can certainly be considered "pit bulls" by authorities, though. So I wouldn't want one in an area with a breed ban, but then again I would never live in an area with a breed ban!
