Change of supplier - increase drinking/weeing?
Hi all. Question. My 5 yr old staffy has been on raw for about 3 yrs now. Have changed his suppliers few times, never had a problem. He has been on daf for a bit and now I'm in the process of swapping him in to new one I've got from rawpetsuppliers, it's called RTPF. I've noticed that he drinks more an need to wee more too. Im still mixing the old one with the new one. The new one is very juicy, more than DAF one.Is that normal?

I can only think that the new supplier must have a higher water content. I know DAF have a higher bone content than other suppliers. Gus is on daf and would be interested why you have switched to a new supplier.

It does have more water in it, but shpuldn't he drink less water?
At the moment I think he drinks more and wees more. Tomorrow will measure the amount of water he drinks daily. Also was thinking, that it's colder now, with heating on and the dehumidifier running, he might be more thirsty.
My DAF supplier doesn't have big variety of protein, so wanted to try something different.

Sorry I got mixed up haha, yes you would think he would need to drink less. We get DAF delivered direct from them so we get a great variety. Always interesting to see what other suppliers have got to offer though.

I think maybe you have answered your own question there! Katy is drinking a lot more as we have the fire & heating on. She's now chilling out in the bedroom as it's much cooler
