I'm so proud of Chase!

We tried a little experiment with him today.
We invited around friends and family to the house that didn't mind being jumped on and gave them all a list of commands we'd been working on with him.

The idea was to give him a huge amount of love and fuss and show him what he's been missing out on and to also take the hype away from the kiddies.

He spent the whole day out of his crate with only a few warnings for mouthing, jumping and humping and by the end of the day he'd learnt that if he was sat nicely he'd get fuss and treats. Also the children can now run and play and he doesn't charge at them for attention anymore!
We do still watch him with the baby and keep reminding him to be gentle but my goodness what a difference!
It's like crazy Chase has vanished and calm Chase has taken his place!

I do understand that he won't be like this everyday, everybody has off days, but it shows what he can be like and what we're working towards with his training!

I'm a proud staffy mum!

He has been little bit spoilt today but it's what he deserves!

My seven year old daughter has the biggest connection with him and Chase will do anything for her. She was giving him commands like a pro today no longer scared he was gonna knock her flying.

I think we're gonna have regular "chase days" inviting different people over willing to help with his training and social skills as today was so successful.

He's such a smart cookie and learns so quickly I don't think we're gonna need as many training lessons as I thought!

Fantastic news! It's a brilliant idea to have people round and socialize him more. Really happy for you all.
