proud of my boy
Well after nearly 12 months of on lead walking and long line training we finaly had a break through tonight. Marley went off lead for a walk in the park and not one incident. He stopped in his tracks when i called him and came back straight away and was even more responsive than he is on the training lead. Im so so happy it was great to see him running about free and his face said it all. Its been a long time but well worth it . The thing is it wasnt any kind of result while training that prompted me to let him off but his reaction when a park walk friend took his lead while i was training laska. He whined and ran straight over to me and pushed himself into my leg and wouldnt leave me. I also spoke with the guy i got him from last night who said he was ready but to keep him leaded near exits . I know its not such a big thing for alot of people but for me and marley its monumental considering how he used to be. Still cant trust him in the woods but in the park its fantastic and his responces to my commands suprised alot of people including myself and tbh there were alot of enviouse pack walk friends judging bythere comments tonight. Im so proud of my lil terror tonight :0)

Re: proud of my boy
I am Matt it feels like a lifetime but well worth it. He used to just run off over roads and never came back since he started cocking his leg. The last straw was me flagging down cars to stop them hitting him when he saw a squirrel. So he wasnt safe for him or other people. Tonight he was a diff dog, i suspect hes matured a fair bit which has helped but our bond is so strong with laska about. So happy im beaming
