Quantity and nutrition equivalence
Been reading lots of posts where people are varying their canine friends' meals with the addition of a raw egg, or canned tuna or a steamed chicken breast.
I'm absolutely useless with estimating kibble weight, always being on the generous side
Therefore, if I wanted to add a bit of healthy variety to Nifty's kibble diet, what is the kibble replacement value for
A raw egg (weight for weight ?)
Tinned tuna
Steamed chicken breast
Other ?
I don't want to go with raw meat as am concerned about it being fresh enough for her so easier for me to transition with cooked for now.
Thanks

Re: Quantity and nutrition equivalence
to be honest i think you're over complicating things.
adding an egg or a sardine (better than tuna) or live yoghurt won't make tgat much of a difference. If your pup starts to look a little heavy then just reduce food by a couple of grams & see how it goes.

Re: Quantity and nutrition equivalence
I plead guilty, but I only want what's best for Nifty.
Bought some tinned sardines this morning so will see if she likes those. Will also try egg, she likes dried sprats too.
Thanks
