Eccles cake saga!
What an evening! Gus decided to devour Sarah's Eccles cake today. Sarah left the room for two minutes only to return to find Gus had got onto the table and eaten it all. Knowing that raisins are toxic we immediately took him to the vets. Vet dealt with it and was happy that everything had been thrown up. Gus is currently fast asleep on the bed and oblivious to the trauma he has put us through today.
Lesson for the day, NOTHING is safe in the house anymore.

Nothing edible is safe within reach or not what you would think is in reach of a Staffy, they can reach things in seconds and also in places you would think Staffy inaccessible
Glad to read he's all ok though James

Oh no, naughty Gus!
Glad to hear that all ended up ok, despite the stress of the situation.

Glad to hear he is ok. Yes I think we have all learnt the hard way that Staffies are able to get into and onto places you wouldn't think possible!

And don't forget the staffie rules - if I want it, it's mine, if I can see it, it's mine...
Glad Gus is ok. If only they could associate cause and effect, he'd not do it again. As it is, keep those eccles cakes way out of reach!
