Archie
Hello everyone, Im new here!
We have a new puppy Archie - today at his 9weeks of age he weights 3.6kg.
We are feeding him with Nature and Delicious dry puppy food round 120 grams per day (im really uncertain how much he will weight when adult).
Hes healthy, energic, loving and discovering the world and I know hes just the way hes meant to be, however, if you could share your opinion about his weight, size and appearance I would be grateful. Even though his parents were at the bottom line of the breeds weight limit im a bit concerned/afraid hes just way too small and im afraid we are underfeeding him. No health issues were found at his medical checks so far :-)
heres a short video:
and few pics (it keeps to rotate them strangely and i cannot upload them from an external source ):

Re: Archie
Hello and welcome.
How utterly gorgeous he is
My Nifty at 9 weeks was weighing in at 3kg7 and was about the same size so all looks good to me.
I don't pay too much attention to the weights on the bags but do religiously weigh each meal. I think I was feeding about 50g kibble in 3 feeds a day at that stage.
You can always up the feed a bit if he's still hungry but it's better to be trim than fat at that age (for stress on joints).

Re: Archie
Hi & Welcome to the Forum from Flo and me
Now that is one adorable pup. He looks fine to me weight wise, a good rule of thumb is that you can feel the ribs but not see them. That's not exactly a scientific way to work out feed ratios but as a general rule you won't go far wrong

Re: Archie
Oh, what a perfect little pumkin! Gorgeousness personified. I'm fairly sure he'll let you know if he's still properly hungry after a feed, but he looks a good weight going by eye.
Like Ian said, you should be able to feel his ribs but not see them and have a defined waist (think the waist thing might be more for adult dogs but not sure).

Awww... what a sweetie
Whatever you're doing, keep doing it. He looks great! I personally don't get hung up on food weight, especially as my 28kg lab x gets approximately the same as my 15kg staffie x!

Hello from me and Hank,
Archie is absolutely stunning and that video of his little puppy barks melted my heart! He looks great to me and same as above the with feeling the ribs but not seeing them, and with his food you will know yourself when to give him more, Hank's way of telling me he's still hungry is to pick his bowl up and drop it on the floor
