Hi Guys
Good morning ladies and gents,
I am a first time staffie owner and have a 3mth old staff that we got 5weeks ago. I adore her so much and she fits in with our family perfectly. I have been told she is purebred but I am starting to have to doubts as people can never seem to pick her breed and she is still quite wrinkly with full floppy ears lol. No idea how to attach a pic to show you that doesn't involve and external link.
My question for everyone is how normal is it that their milking teeth break??? We have 2 broken and I feel like I'm watching her all the time making sure she isnt chewing things she isnt meant too
Thanks for having us and I look forward to being apart of this community.

Hi ya, welcome to the forum from Flo and me
I'm not sure about the milk teeth thing but Staffies do morph as they grow into adults so I'm not at all surprised that you get asked what she is, loads of people get the same question

Hi and welcome from me and mine!
As Ian says, puppies change as they grow and can go through all sorts of odd phases! Ears can do their own things for a while...
Posting photos - there are links to a few ways here

I use the first one on that list.

Re: Hi Guys
Hi there and welcome.
I too am a first time staffy owner and Nifty is now 11 weeks old.
She too is very wrinkly so all normal there
What is your staffy eating to break her teeth ?
Mine has rubber toys and ropes and balls and cuddly toys.
I don't let her play with stones but great outdoor toys are empty plastic bottles. Filled with a bit of kibble makes a great rattle

Re: Hi Guys
Welcome to the forum. Congratulations on your puppy. I'm not sure about milk teeth but a dogue de Bordeaux I looked after had a broken tooth. The new adult tooth came in perfect. I'll try & find out

Re: Hi Guys
Nifty Staffy I actually think one of them she may have broken one on my sons pjs. When she was still at chasing ankle stage im wondering if she broke one whilst grabbing the bottom of his pjs and when he moved his leg away maybe the tooth was caught??? She has heaps of toys she loves chewing and is actually really good at stopping biting things when we tell her no.
Thank you all for your welcome. I will load some photos once I have checked which method suits

Re: Hi Guys
She is so cute. From what I've read a chip broken off is ok, of the tooth breaks at the gum line it could be prone to infection

Re: Hi Guys
Hello from me and Hank
Hank snapped a couple of his baby teeth and his adult ones grew through fine, he broke his on his toys so hard to keep an eye on them breaking, he had a really bad break on one of his back teeth which was right on the gum line and was bleeding and I took him to the vets to be sure it wouldn't get infected and the vet said it would be fine just keep and eye on him and his adult one just grew and he had no bother.
Unlesss she's showing signed of being poorly I wouldn't worry.
She's gorgeous btw

Re: Hi Guys
Hi and welcome to the forum from Tess and myself.Don't worry too much about a broken tooth, the new ones will push it out. Also don't be too bothered about the ears just yet,as they can go always when teething, just wait until the 2nd teeth are all through and see what happens.

Re: Hi Guys
Thanks heaps guys. Its so reassuring knowing its unlikely to affect her mature teeth. Honestly if it turns out she is a mix I'm not too bothered because we love her regardless. I just feel like a douche not knowing if she has something else when people ask
Btw I'm new to the whole forum format so still getting used to everything

What's your Flickr name? I'll see if I can link it for you.
And what do you get when you press the disc looking icon, literally nothing?

Hi, my Flickr name is Vanessa Hunt.
When I press the icon it just takes me to the text box right under it so yep pretty much nothing.
