Unusual combo
Recently we had a post on the forum about a Shitzu/Staffy cross and the suggested cross name did make me laugh. Last night I was out to a pub across the other side of my town and saw what I thought was a fantastic looking Staffy but the head didn't look quiet right so thought I'd better go say hi.
It turns out she is a young Staffy - Bulldog cross and what a little darling she is. All the Staffy kisses and cheekiness with a subtle Bulldog face
Sorry no picture

Oh Ian, couldn't you have taken a pic!!! I bet she was adorable I actually looked at a staffie x jrt before I got Katy as the pics looked really cute. But I think 1 terrier bloodline is enough for me

Aww gorgeous!! There are just so many crosses around aren't there. I fell in love and came very close to dog napping (not really of course) a 13 week old staffy x mastiff at a dog show. Absolutely stunning pup.

Re: Unusual combo
Omg what is wrong with people just offering their dog away. Id have been tempted to take the poor thing and take to a rescue. Poor little dog.

Re: Unusual combo
I think it's such a shame, though, that little or no health testing is done on the parents of cross bred pups for the individual breeds' hereditary problems. recipe for disaster.

Re: Unusual combo
I guess a lot of mixed breeds, apart from the 'designer dogs' (also still mongrels), aren't planned.
We've got a lovely staffie x lab in at the moment. A very handsome young man

Visually he's that exactly, but very much the dachshund mischievousness character.

I'm not talking about the accidental litters, but the planned ****-doodles etc. The money making deliberate crosses. Makes me mad.

There's a new breed appearing over here, a cross between siberian husky and canadian wolf.
I bet that's lovely and easy to train
