Ringworm?
Yesterday a scab type circle came up on Rebels nose. I called my vet but he can't see him till 5.15 today. It looks like one is coming up on the other side now. I'm really worried & can't wait till it's time for the vet. I'm scared for him & scared it's an infection that will stop him getting his 2nd vaccine on Friday. I will post pictures. Would appreciate any opinions on what it could be. I've not seen ringworm but know puppies can be susceptible

Re: Ringworm?
from what i remember of ringworm (i've only seen it once in a litter of kittens), that doesn't look like it, especially if she hasn't been anywhere near any dogs/cats with ringworm. But i may very well be wrong!
your vet will be best placed to say what it is & whether it'll affect her 2nd jabs.

Re: Ringworm?
Thank goodness it is nearly gone. Vet said it's a fungal infection & gave me cream, it's so much better with applications last night & few today. He's fine to get his 2nd vaccination. I was really worried

Re: Ringworm?
I was imagining all sorts, I thought he'd be covered in ringworm, miss his jab & not be allowed to puppy class. I can hardly see the mark now

Re: Ringworm?
All that worrying & Rebel would be totally oblivious to the problem! I can see when Katy has cut herself & she's like 'what now with the cream mum?' doesn't know she's done anything

Re: Ringworm?
She's a brave girl. Rebel wasn't bothered at all, I've to clean with cooled boiled salt water, leave it too dry then apply the cream. He is such a good boy letting me do it with only a few nips haha. He thinks I'm playing

Getting past the teeth can be a problem, especially when they are grow'd up

Re: Ringworm?
It sounds like Rebel has already mastered one of the roles of dogs - worrying their owners sick at every available opportunity!
