Re: Urinating in the house
Hi and welcome to the forum
Can I just check how long you've had him - is he a recent addition to the family or has he been with you for a while?
If he's a recent adoption, don't worry too much but go back to basics as if you were training a puppy. Sometimes it's just part of the settling in process and all they need is a little time.
If on the other hand you've had him for a while and he's gone from perfectly house trained to suddenly urinating in the house, I'd say the first thing is a vet check. There may be a reason he can't hold himself properly.
I'd also try to think back to when this started and see if you can find something that's changed for him or that might have upset him in a significant way. If something has changed, you will need to address that, teach him to be happy with life again.
In the meantime, I'd still go back to puppy training mode, making sure he goes out very often, especially first thing, after meals and last thing at night. Clean up every accident with a proper urine deodorising product so that the house doesn't smell 'right' to him. And above all don't chastise him, punish him or otherwise get upset as that can cause anxiety about urinating which can in fact make dogs worse.

Re: Urinating in the house
I've had him since he was 7 months. Now I think of it we got rid of his blanket he'd had a few months because it was ripped to shreds and stunk I'll try buying him the same one again see if that helps been going on for a couple of weeks now I'll get him in the vets too thank you all.

Re: Urinating in the house
As well as the vet visit make sure you clean up with a deodorising cleaner, the reason being that they tend to go where they have been before so you'll want that type of cleaner to stop any habit forming.
Let us know how you both get on
