Rash on belly
My pup had suddenly got a rash like thing across his belly. He has been scratching a lots and it looks like a dry rash. I don't know what this is any ideas. I did google it and it saysays could be allergies. Is that correct. He is currently eating wainwright which we thought was meant to be good as it was meant to be hyper allergenic. Any ideas. And what can I do to stop him scratching. Thank you

Re: Rash on belly
Sounds like it could be an allergy, has Zeus been running in long grass? Katy gets itchy when she does that. You could try wiping his belly with a wet towel when you come in from his walk as the grass is in seed at the moment.

Not overly long grass but it's an idea I hadn't thought of so thank you I will definitely keep an eye on that. Such a paranoid mummy lol

Re: Rash on belly
Hi Steph,
My 6 month old puppy has the same thing! We think its our long grass that started it, then he gets itchy and rubs his belly on the grass, its a vicious cycle.
But we went to the pet shop and got Blackmores PAW Itchy Skin Duo Pack. https://www.blackmores.com.au/products/pet-health/skin-and-coat-health/paw-itchy-skin-duo-pack
I have washed him with it twice now so all I can say is it defiantly fixes the redness but I will let you know more when if it clears up or we find another answer.

Re: Rash on belly
Both mine have had a red and dry looking rash on underneath them. I noticed that happened when walking over longish damp grass or when the weather is really warm. So now like Jenc suggested I make sure I rub them down with a towel after a walk and its helped a lot. Also I found a bit of sudocreme helped.
