Re homing my beautiful boy
Hi Guys, I am trying to re-home my dog (Simba). He is a beautiful staffordshire bull terrier. He is 3 years old, house trained, great with small children and other dogs. I have raised him since he was 6 weeks old. He is neutered and microchipped. The reason i am trying to re-home him is because I am emigratting to the UAE (Abu Dhabi) and I am not allowed to have a dog in the house that i have been provided with by my employers. I would not be re-homing him if it wasn't for this reason as he is loved by wife and kids. If you think you or someone you know may be interested in re-homing my dog then please co tact me as soon as possible. I am obviously only interested in committed and responsible owners. I am not interested in money for Simba..i only want the right people. If you need any further info feel free to contact me hereThank you.

Re: Re homing my beautiful boy
Hiya, this is such a sad post to read, I feel for you.
Others may disagree with what I'm going to say but this is just my opinion. Is there anyway you can take Simba to a animal shelter? It's not nice to think of him going to kennels but you can be sure he will be treated kindly and rehomed to a family who have been checked out for suitability. It's just you can never be sure over the internet. Plus as you don't want any money for him again this can mean he may fall in to the wrong hands and people who don't deserve him and who even though they say the right thing when they meet you they may not be suitable owners. I will be honest and say I got my girl from an internet advert, however when we saw her the family did say they advertised her for free and had a lot of shifty people interested so then readvertised her with a cost. After we met them for ten minutes we left with her, really we could have been anyone, (we treat Misty like a little queen) but I think you can never be sure if people are who they say they are from meeting them for such a short space of time.
I do hope Simba ends up in a happy home and has a lovely life, he sounds like such a star.
Good luck with your move x

Re: Re homing my beautiful boy
Hi there, congratulations on the exciting job move but I'm sorry to hear about your situation. As Emma said there may be other options for finding Simba a new home so you know you've got him the right people. What timescales are you working to?

Re: Re homing my beautiful boy
Unfortunately I have only have 2 weeks left to find Simba a home. I have someone who will home him temporarilly if I do not find him somewhere but I want to find him something permanent to give him that continuity. I'm not just saying it because he is mine but he really is a fantastic dog and he would add so much to someone's life...please can you ask around around for any suitable people....Thanks for responding

I'm struggling with posting a picture but just to let you know that Simba is stunning...he is a liver/sandy coloured dog and his eyes are a lighter shade than average. He is short and perfectly propprtioned with a beautiful coat. I'll post a lic on here once i figure it out. Thanks. Romi

Re: Re homing my beautiful boy
sorry for what is an untimely no doubt hard situation have you explored friends /family option as well as animal shelters the shelter seems the only option to enable simba to be rehomed quickly and safely

So sorry to read of your tough position. I can't offer any more helpful advice than that already offered but wish you the best of luck.
I've removed your phone number as there are some very strange people on the web !! If anyone can help please post here and I will forward any contacts.
