Argh!! Empty Argh!!

Post by Debs01 Sat May 14 2016, 07:37

its true Axl is trying to give me a nervous breakdown!! 3 days before we are due to go on holiday he gets his diarrhoea tummy thing. So I've been frantically trying to make him better before today with vet visits, taking extras holiday from work to stay with him, chicken and rice in small but frequent portions, giving him his antibiotic that he refuses to take unless I wrap it in chicken, in two halves (because obviously it's too big for his delicate little throat /sigh), turning the fan on and off depending on his temperature, I am a slave to my dog I just realised!! Man that dog is so lucky I love him lol.

Get a staffy they said.. Cast iron stomachs they said.. Pfft

Anyway.... He had a normal poo this morning yay!! Holidays here we come.

Picture of his lordship sleeping it off on his sofa (if you sit next to him while he's sleeping he wakes up, jumps off all the while throwing you dirty looks!) lol

Ah bless him! Max was the same. Maybe it's the lab side? Bug has had one minor stomach upset in 5 years, but I know others on the forum have pretty bad stomach sensitivities! What is the antibiotic for?

He suffers with IBS and hes a floor scavenger which doesn't help plus he spends a lot of time in the week with our dog walker at her stables so he tries to eat horse poo. We put the Baskerville muzzle on now just to limit what he can scavenge but it doesn't always stop him the little sod!

The antibiotics are because he had blood in his diarrhoea. It's precautionary really in case he had an infection as last time at xmas when he had blood it got worse and worse his stomach is just so hyper sensitive.

I'd stop giving him access to your diary, Debs. At least then his timing wouldn't be so good.

Poor little man, IBS and limited access to horse poo, not fair.

Sounds fab Debs. We did the broads many many years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it but that was without a four pawed friend.

We'd love to do it again and my youngest is especially keen. Can I be cheeky and ask you 2 things... A) who did you book through & B) let us know how you got on with pubs n Axl on the boat Smile
