Worried
Hey guys so I've had to go back to the vets again with Axl, last Friday we got home from a lovely walk in some fields Axl had fun roly poly'ing and sliding, the usual shenanigans anyway that night I noticed a hard lump on his hind leg right on the joint and one on his belly. I thought it was insect bites. The one on his hind leg got bigger overnight and looked strange and he started limping so on Monday we went to the vets he said it doesn't look sinister to him and gave him an antihistamine shot as well as an anti inflammatory. He said to keep an eye on it. Axl has stopped limping but the lump is still the same size and scabbing over. The one in his belly is pink and not scabbing it clearly has a pin prick mark in the middle as if something has bitten or stung him. I'm so worried about the one on his leg though as its not getting bigger but it's not going down either. Has anyone seen this before?
Take a look if you are not squeamish, it's about 1.5cm wide.

Re: Worried
I'm thinking your right Debs, looks like a bite that's got sore. I've had similar and they can leave a mole like scar but should settle down and not cause any problems. Worth keeping an eye on it though.

Re: Worried
I hope so he's got one on his belly as well and they both started off looking the same which is slightly reassuring just this one is scabbing over. I am going back to the vet next week if it's still the same but I'm hoping scabbing means it's healing. Maybe he licked it I don't know, fingers crossed!

Re: Worried
Katy has had some small lumps on her head recently which came out into scabs. I think they were bites, from what I don't know!! When then scabs fell off she had small bald patches I put savlon on any sores Katy gets which always does the trick

Re: Worried
Thanks all. The scab has fallen off now and it's looking smaller but is bleeding a bit just because of where it is I think, he keeps catching it when he sits down so I'm putting plenty of savlon on it
