Dog Crate Empty Dog Crate

Post by Amelie Sun Mar 20 2016, 18:51

My four share a bed willingly through the night, i say bed but to accommodate all four its actually a cot mattress of 120cm x 70cm x 6cm thick works great by the way and allot cheaper than an actual dog bed
I'm looking for a dog crate for all four of them, this is only for when i get builders in, landlord inspections so 20 max they will be locked in there besides then the door will be tied open for free access just like their bed now. I can not find a crate bigger than their bed because right now they have some floor space around the bed which i would still like them to have within the crate.
Does anyone know of a crate bigger than the xxlarge ones of 48" x 29 x 32
121cm x 73 x 81

I have a pen right now which i use to enclose them in (again with floor space around their bed) but its not structurally safe if they jump up on it in excitement (if i have visitors) and its a pain so would prefer a crate.
Any help much appreciated

What about a baby gate to keep them in one space? Four staffies in a crate might be pushing it..

I have a dog pen i use to pop them away when someone calls but like i said its not sturdy enough, a childs gate wouldn't do the job where they are (in the corner of the bedroom)
The area they can lock in hasn't caused any problems and the three oldest have always been together and shared a crate up until about a year ago so i'm sure they'll be fine, just don't know where to get such a large crate from.

I would get some sheep gates (otherwise known as hurdles) from most agri stores. Four of those together will make a large crate. Or just two bolted to the wall with some brackets.
