So Good
My Flo has been hopping on her back leg since Tuesday and has shown only a small improvement so a vets visit was arranged for this afternoon. The leg affected is the one she had her TTA op on so we were a little worried something had failed.
Flo hasn't liked the vets since her op and actually shakes when we go in but she was soooo good. She ignored the small dog barking in her face, paid no attention to the dog that had wheels for back legs and lay down nicely. Once in the consulting room and on the table she stood still while the vet checked her spine, hips and leg joints without flinching. The vet was so full of praise and actually said that he wished that if even half the dogs he's sees were this good he would be overjoyed
She had a pain relief injection and again didn't flinch so we are on restricted walks and pain relief for a week and see how she goes before we go down the route of X-ray etc. The vet thinks it could be a torn ligament, sprain or at worst something to do with the TTA as the knee area is swollen.
Fingers crossed that it's just a sprain but I am one very proud Staffy Daddy

Re: So Good
She gets spoil the every day Kerry
Flo is on restricted walks for 20 mins easy going on lead so today I walked her in her big park on lead to start with on a nice concrete path through the woods. She loves it there and was walking so nicely with no hopping.
Seeing as she was mooching I thought I'd let her off lead with no stick chasing, I forgot how difficult it is to slow them down even without throwing something, before I knew it she was in the bushes
Tomorrow she'll have the shame of being on lead for the whole walk

Re: So Good
I'm hoping it isn't a torn ligament, that will require an operation
I would call her Crystal but yelling with a silly voice might make me look a loon and I'm still not sure Flo would hear
