Hi Everyone,
We have a 11mth old staffy bitch who in the last couple of week has started bringing up foamy liquid every couple of days after eating grass first thing in the morning. She will not eat or drink before being sick. Once she has been sick within a hour she is fine. We have had to the vets and they say nothing to worry about. We feed her wainwrights wet and kibble puppy food. Is there anyone with the same problem. Thanks Dave&diane

Hi ya Dave, welcome to the forum from Flo & me Big Grin

I have seen this with my girl and she will sometimes bring up a little foam but certainly not on a regular basis. The grass eating is also quiet usual (no idea why though)

Hi from me & Katy, welcome to the forum Big Grin Frothy sick is quite normal after they've eaten grass, it seems they only eat it when they need to like if their tummy is upset ( well that's when Katy eats it) I don't think its a problem with her food as she is only doing this every few days. Just keep an eye on her, make sure she's eating & drinking ok & check her poo.

try giving her a small piece of ginger first thing i the morning - it's great for settling stomachs and might stop her eating grass.

she might also be hungry, so it might help to give her a small biscuit before you take her out.

I've had this with my dog too, I think it's quite normal for some dogs and staffies are terrors for eating grass! I wouldn't worry about it as the vet has given you the all clear.

Misty is another grass muncher. To be honest with her I think she just likes eating, anything and anywhere!
