First topic message reminder :
There is already a post about this case in the news section, but I felt that a post in chat may generate more views.
Stella is still alive for now but she only has 6/7 more days to live. There are very mixed opinions regarding her behaviour - especially now that she has been locked up for 2 years without exercise or any real interaction, but it would also be awful for her to die for the mistakes of the authorities when there are sanctuarys willing to take her if a home wasn't an option.
Her owner/the kennel hand are in contact with solicitors and DDA watch, but they have said that if he owner disputes he may be liable for the kennel costs plus legal fees which are already in excess of 16k.
If you don't know about Stella's story, read here:

EDIT: I don't usually like The Sun but the footage of her here and her kennel hand Laura talking offer another angle to the story.

Re: Stella
Just seen this in the guardian about her. In so happy that the judge ruled in her favour.

Re: Stella
Reading this has made my day! What a great ending to a sad story, congratulations to Caroline Pharaoh for giving Stella this chance to have a normal, happy life, like every dog deserves.

Re: Stella
So glad shes had a chance. The 27 acre farm though is a stable with a run, and walks on a leash with a muzzle. So it sounds great and shes allowed human contact - so may do very well - but its not freedom so to speak. This is what is so bull about BSL - an innocent dog is forever condemmed just for being born..
