Recommend me some toys please
So bolo is fast approaching being 9 months old, time has flown by! He has started getting into the habit of destroying new toys in a matter of minutes by pulling them apart!
We bought him rope toys and supposedly hard wearing and lasting soft animal toys. But he just gets his teeth into the material and rips it to shreds!
The only ones he doesn't do it to are the ones he has had since he was tiny so he must have some kind of connection to those, but we like to mix his toys up so he doesn't get bored.
Any recommendations for some tougher toys? We do have some stag antlers, a nylabone and some big rubbery bones, but I'm kind of after some other ideas. Kong stuff seems really expensive for what it is too, and his last toy was a kind one and it was ripped apart very quickly!
Many thanks

Re: Recommend me some toys please
Unfortunately Staffies love to destroy things Katy's toy box is a disgrace, most of her toys are just bits. The only thing that survives her are extreme kong bone & treat feeder, antlers, rubber tyres & her favourite toy by far is her boomer ball Anything fluffy will die quickly, as for squeaky toys they stand no chance. I don't spend too much on her toys as none last long. I give her milk cartons & put treats in them or cardboard boxes with treats as she loves to rip & shred

Gobsmackingly, these seem to survive in our household. They get blasted round the field every day and the dogs then spend ages carrying them around and chewing on them, and the only ones we no longer have are those that have got lost (they don't float!).

And another vote for Boomer Ball. I'm not sure I'd want it as an indoors toy, though, as it's hard and does bash about a bit.

I love the toys from Zee Dog. Kiki has not been able to shred them so far. A nyla bone however took her only 10 minutes to destroy

Great thread - Una's the same, she loves to get at the seams of soft toys and then pull out the stuffing. I'm not great with a needle but flip I seem to spend a lot of my time restuffing and stitching!

Re: Recommend me some toys please
Although kong toys are expensive they're worth it, they are really tough (especially the black ones) and hard to break. My boy sometimes spends ages chewing on them and I haven't had one break.
Also try 'chuck it balls' they're super tough so hard to break!
Pets at home sell toys that are called 'ruffer and tuffer' or something like that and they're toys made specifically for dogs who're strong and chew a lot, I've never bought any but felt them when in store and they really are well made!
Hope this helps!

I must say I bought PAH ruff & tuff toys thinking they would be good, unfortunately they haven't been tested by a staffie. Destroyed in minutes!!!

The only things that latest any length here is the large Black Kong, he destroyed the puppy sized one. Going to try the boomer ball
