Re: advice needed
I've popped this into the health section as I think you'll get more replies here.
I'm not sure about supplements but it might be worth looking at sports massage for dogs, or hydrotherapy, to keep the joint moving and build up the muscle.

ur best port of call would be to ask your vet about the powder supplements and how much exercise your dog needs because of the arthritis in the front leg mia has something similar to arthritis I give her joint formula daily mixed in with food tuna 2x a week sometimes mackarel fish helps make movement easier

My Flo has Nutraquin which is in capsule form but I empty it onto her food. If you get the meds in powder would it be in a capsule? If so you could give it whole in a piece of soft cheese etc
If it were loose powder which would be unusual then perhaps mix it with water and pour onto the kibble ?

Many Many thanks guys its a topic i have never had to deal with before. The vet told us he is tight in his one shoulder at the front its worse when he has been lay down a while and on a good day we will walk for 20 mins then he gets a slight limp in the leg in question. If there is any more info to hand please share as your help is much much appreciated. I will have a look into the supplements you suggested.

Glucosamine & Chondroitin is a vey good supplement. My old girl was also on Yumove which helped her back legs from getting worse.
Its awful to see them struggle when getting up from resting but walking is important and keeps the joints from stiffening up. Massage is also good. I massaged Stella's legs after every walk which she absolutely loved and was so relaxing for her also
