Problems of late
I dont know what has got into Vin but if I stop an walks and talk to a male in passing when we get home he jumps on me, wrapping his paws round me and bunts me like a goat! it sounds funny but isnt as it scares me a little with not feeling to good aswell atm havent energy to cope with it. He is rigid with a bold stance and tail wagging is erect and quick is it a dominant thing anyone?

Re: Problems of late
Hmm that's an odd behaviour Inez. It's strange that it only happens when you talk to men or is that just a coincidence ?
I think you might have to have to show some heavy authority with a firm shove down and a good NO so that he gets the message that this isn't acceptable.

That does sound odd. Can you give him something else do to, like just asking for a couple of sits, downs, that sort of thing, so that you are taking control of him before he does of you?

Sounds like Vinnie is protecting his girl, What Liz says will distract him from the behaviour

Oh Inez
I'm assuming you've noticed a pattern that it doesn't happen when you haven't met somebody on a walk/only happens when you've stopped to talk to a man? (May be an obvious question!) Does he get excited when he meets new people? Do you think perhaps this has happened once and he found it to be fun, so he's created a habit?
Bug will try to mount Martyn consistently, she never does it to me! But in our case, it's during play fighting when she has gotten over excited and isn't quite sure what else to do with her energy. We tend to distract and cease all play until she has settled down again. What's Vin's personality like in general? Is he pushy or laid back?

Re: Problems of late
Yea Rach its only when we meet men and I stop to talk not saying I talk to every Tom Dick or Harry but the usual we see on a regular basis. He is pretty chilled usually but been a bit boisterous of late. I find if I ignore him and turn my back he gives up and I wont even look at him its just odd tbh xx
