Rhia always seems to be hungry

Hi everyone - been such a long time since I posted, hope you remember my story of adopting Rhia at the end of April - I still can not manage to upload photos apart from the profile one!! Knowing how everyone feels about photos I thought I really should get some on - but still no luck sorry...

Anyway - Rhia is now 17 wks old and is so clever she is picking most things up really well. The only small problem is that she always seems hungry and trys to eat anything and everything (including her own poo) but she eats muck, trys any plants and leaves that she spots she was even having a bit sand from a bag in my garden this morning. Is this normal and will she grow out of it??

She is the most loving and best dog I could have hoped for apart from this....

Hiya, it has a been a while and I'm really pleased that after everything that Rhia is settling in nicely. I think it is kinda normal for pups to be into everything, and I mean everything! I think you just need to keep on top of it, there isn't a quick fix, just lots of 'nos' when you catch her. It will improve in time, although mine still wants to eat anything and everything on the pavements when we go for walks.

Yep lots of saying no. You can try holding the leash a little higher up and giving a very slight correction, not a choke, followed by a no. You may also try keeping her attention on you by holding a small treat or piece of kibble in your fist. But it is very natural and very difficult to stop. Suki still sneaks in three or so every day.

Surely they must calm down eventually oh wait they do
